The main focus of my research is the analysis of virus architecture and the mechanisms / dynamics of infection processes, employing cryo electron tomography and subtomogram averaging, fluorescence microscopy, CRISPR-CAS9 screens as well as standard molecular biology techniques. Organisms employed include arteri-, rhabdo- and pestiviruses.
