International Biosciences Research Schools

The Biosciences International Research Schools (BIRS) are a yearly event held between September and December and consists of two-week conferences (in English) covering the main fields of Life Sciences. They are open to Master students in their second year, to PhD students, and to postdoctoral researchers.
Each conference involves internationally renowned scientists from France and from abroad. Each of them gives an introductory course to their field and a research talk, enabling students to absorb state-of-the art and open questions of the field. Thus, students are trained to research and are exposed to the most recent and novel scientific studies.
