Biosciences International Research School

The Biosciences International Research School (BIRS) is a yearly event held between September and December and consists of ten two-week conferences (in English) covering the main fields of Life Sciences. It is open to Master students in their second year, to PhD students, and to postdoctoral researchers.

Each conference involves internationally renowned scientists from France and from abroad. Each of them gives an introductory course to their field and a research talk, enabling students to reflect on the state-of-the art and open questions of the field. Thus students are trained to research approaches and are exposed to the most recent and novel scientific studies.
